Media, communication and information

Media, communication and information can be studied in a number of different ways. Here, you will find study programmes where you will learn how to communicate well, and study programmes where you will analyse the communication and information of others. You will find subjects about everything from information retrieval, business communication and film analyses to journalistic writing.

Society, politics and economics

The study programmes focus on the way in which society is tied together by economics, politics, people, laws and rules. You will find subjects such as law, political work, economic models, international relations and power relations.

Business economics, trade and management

These study programmes are particularly aimed at the private corporate world. They focus on, for instance, the strategy of enterprises, financial planning and control as well as production, marketing and organisation. You will find subjects such as sales strategies and management styles, and you will deal with how an enterprise works.

Biology, chemistry and nature

The study programmes are based on the natural world which surrounds us and the chemical substances that we use. Here, you will find study programmes focusing on the small building blocks; molecules and cells; as well as those focusing on the large building blocks: landscapes, cities and Earth’s composition. If you think that animals, plants and molecules are interesting, these study programmes are for you.

Physics, mathematics and nanotechnology

The study programmes use all mathematical models and experiments to describe different physical problems. The study programmes put forward models for everything: from how signals are transported around in the brain through understanding and design of material in nano-scale to the calculation of the theoretical risk of being exposed to theft.

Medicine, health and care

These study programmes focus on prevention and treatment and care of people, but also research within nutrition, medicine and health technology. If you want to learn how the human body works and how to prevent and treat diseases, these study programmes are for you.

Language, culture and history

Here, different cultures and their languages are in focus. You will find study programmes dealing with modern times and study programmes dealing with the past. If you are interested in history, religion, literature and philosophy, or if you want to learn and understand one or more foreign languages, these study programmes are for you.

Pedagogy, psychology and teaching

The study programmes deal with how people learn and develop, and how you work with and teach people. Some of the study programmes are very theoretical, while other study programmes include a practical training period and therefore make more use of theory in practice.

Art, music and design

Here, you will find different study programmes within the creative field. Creative study programmes as well as programmes in which creativity is combined with technology or theory. If you enjoy using your creativity to produce art, music, design, TV or buildings, you will find several interesting study programmes here.

IT, electronics and programming

Here, you will find study programmes that deal with the electronics and programming of electric appliances that we use in today’s society. From mobile phones through computers to lifts. You will also find study programmes focusing on the user in relation to the machines.

Technique, construction and development

These study programmes often focus on production and development of actual products, e.g. buildings, bridges and houses, but also wind turbines, solar energy collectors, hospital appliances and several other products. The subjects Mathematics and Physics often go hand in hand with these studies.

As an international student you can study a full Bachelor degree at Aalborg University. It takes three years to get a full BA degree. As a guest/exchange student, you can also study one or two semesters at one of the Undergraduate programmes listed below.

You can either study parts of the Postgraduate programmes or Undergraduate programmes or choose from the programmes listed below.

You can study one programme only and follow the courses of which the program consists for either one or two semesters.
