Activities for Students at AAU
At Aalborg University there is a tradition that students become involved in different extracurricular activities whilst enrolled at university. If you choose to make use of the opportunities, you may also make friends with other students.
Student Activities
"There are a lot of interesting activities on campus. The one I like the most is the Friday Bar. It is so cool to be able to enjoy yourself with your colleagues and teachers. There are also a lot of student organizations that come up with all sort of ideas and show you a good time. I went to a lot of trips around Aalborg, but I also enjoyed the activities on campus like Unirun and boat race, and the ubercool Oktoberfest. These are only a few examples."

Practise your extracurricular activities with other students
The group work at Aalborg University constitutes a great starting point for you to become part of an academic and social community during your studies. Should you choose to become involved in e.g. the cafes at Aalborg University, you will also have the opportunity to meet other students across AAU. Whether you want to be actively involved in running the activities or simply participate in the activities, is entirely up to you.
Cafes at Aalborg University
In the cafes at Aalborg University, you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a beer at student-friendly prices. Particularly on Friday afternoon, the cafes are full of life when students from all areas of study meet up. The cafes are run by student volunteers who also arrange events such as concerts and fancy dress parties, and book stand-up comedians for performances for student audiences at Aalborg University.
